My name is Erin Karlin. I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I graduated from the University of Kansas in 2006 with a degree in Childhood Education. Following graduation, my husband, Nate, and I moved to Clarksville, Tenn. I attended Tennessee State University where I earned my license to teach to Pre-K through 3rd grade. I was a Pre-K teacher in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System for four years before moving to Rutherford County, where I taught kindergarten for one year. I decided to be a stay-at-home mom with my two boys before joining Creek Wood Academy to do what I love the most: teach!
I love teaching children and making them smile. My lifelong dream is to open my own child care center. Working at Creek Wood Academy is a great first step in accomplishing that dream.
I enjoy spending as much time as I can with my family. I love spending time outdoors, traveling, watching movies, shopping, cooking, spending time with friends, and rooting on my Jayhawks—especially during basketball season!
My name is Leigh-Ann Smith. I have worked at Creek Wood Academy since July 2008. I started out taking care of the infants and moved to the Pre-K program in 2012.
I currently have my Associates degree and am in school working towards my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. After school I plan to continue to teach Pre-K. I love that the world is a fun and exciting place and everything is so new to them!
I love what I do and strive to do my best in everything.
