Hello, my name is Cha’Queria Curl. I was born right here in Franklin and have lived here all of my life. In my spare time, I love shopping, going out to eat and just hanging out. I also love to go and get my nails and toes done. I am the third of five girls. I have no brothers.
I started working at Creek Wood Academy in 2013. I began here as a Toddler/Pre-K floater. I loved moving all over the building working with all of the kids. In the summer of 2014, I began working in Baby A with the infants. I really enjoyed working with the little babies and exploring my options. In April of 2015, I became a toddler teacher. I have really enjoyed getting to know all of the families around the building. It is so fun being able to work with kids of all ages and developing a bond with them.
My name is Christa Falte. I have my associate degree in Early Childhood Education from Columbia State, and I am currently working toward earning my bachelor’s degree.
I have worked in child care for more than four years with most of that time being spent in toddler classrooms. I love teaching and hope to do it for the rest my career.
I was born in Florida and enjoy going back to visit every summer. I love animals. I have four cats, a dog, and a fish. When I am not at work, I am usually at home watching way too many movies!
My name is Alicia Grantham and I was born in Davidson County on July 2, 1996. I am one of six children. I have two brothers and three sisters. I lived in Davidson County until I was 4 years old and then my family and I moved to Hickman County. I lived there until I was 16. Then I moved to Humphreys County from 17 until I graduated from Waverly Central High School in May 2014.
I am hoping to start college in the fall of 2017 to pursue my dream of becoming a pediatrician. I am currently the co-teacher in the Junior Toddler classroom. Working here is a great experience because I love children, and I’m learning new things every day.
Mary Ann Harhay
Hello, my name is Mary Ann Harhay. I have lived in Tennessee since 1993, when my husband of thirty some years and our two children moved from Syracuse, N.Y. We have made our home in Franklin since then. While we miss our family and friends in Syracuse, we consider Tennessee as our home.
I have been working with children since I was thirteen: first babysitting, and then doing babysitting in our home while our own children were growing up. I obtained my CDA, and have a technical degree from Columbia State. I am now working toward my Associates Degree, with plans to get my Bachelor’s Degree.
I have worked at Creek Wood Academy since 2002. I have been in the Senior Toddler room since day one. I consider myself extremely lucky to work in such a great school. I have the privilege of working with wonderful children and their families, and I cherish every child who has passed through the door of my room.
My name is Dani Kijak. I’ve been living in Franklin since the end of September and I’m loving every second of it! The warm hospitality I’ve been getting is overwhelming!
I’m blessed with this opportunity to work for Creek Wood Academy because I had to leave my daycare back in Indiana. I have years of experience working with younger children. I was a tennis instructor for our city’s parks department for four years and also worked at an athletic club in its nursery for a year.
I left two amazing parents, my little yellow lab, and tons of friends back in Indiana. I was able to finish my bachelor’s degree at Bethel College right before I moved down here. Getting my bachelor’s degree was by far my biggest accomplishment of my life. I have never felt so proud in my life! 🙂
My name is Jamie Pedigo. I began working at Creek Wood Academy in January 2013. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Science with a focus on K-6 Education from Middle Tennessee State University. I obtained my degree in December 2012. I love working with children of all ages. I enjoy the age group of the children in Junior Toddlers because they begin to show their independence through play, are always on the move, and are so excited to try new things!
I have a son who attends Creek Wood. He was born in October 2011. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, and reading a good book. I look forward to meeting all of you and learning & growing with your child.
My name is Ashlee Stringer. I am a graduate of Tennessee Temple University with a degree in Elementary Education. I have experience with children ages 2 to 5. I enjoy working with children and helping them reach their highest potential.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my niece and nephew and watching college football.
I look forward to meeting each one of you.
