What Makes Us Different
We hold ourselves to a higher standard. At Creek Wood Academy, we consistently maintain low teacher-child ratios throughout our programs to allow more one-on-one interaction. We require more experience, higher education, and more continuing education training hours from our staff than other centers in the area. Many of our staff members have bachelor’s degrees, teaching credentials, associate degrees in Child Development, training experience with the Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance, or other forms of higher education beyond the minimum requirement of a high school diploma. That’s why families in Franklin, TN, choose us for early childhood education!
At Creekwood Academy, our large classrooms allow plenty of space to explore and learn. All of our classes have windows and glass walls to provide children with a feeling of openness. Our classrooms have many safety features such as finger guards on the door jambs to keep fingers from being accidentally smashed, child locks on cabinets and drawers, restrooms with motion sensitive lights and fans, and more. There are intercoms throughout the school that play child appropriate music throughout the day and lullabies at rest time.
Q: Are meals and snacks provided?
A: We provide our students with a morning super snack, a hot lunch, and an afternoon snack. Each of your child’s meals and snacks are in line with the USDA recommendations for healthy nutrition. We include a variety of vegetables and fruits as well as whole grains, healthy proteins, and low sugar choices. We also work with families regarding dietary preferences, vegetarian, gluten free, and food allergies. We are a peanut-free school.
